適應症
Mechanism: Sertindole as a antipsychotic drugs , is derived from its selective inhibitory effect on mesolimbic dopaminergic neurons and is due to balanced inhibitory effects on central dopamine D2 and serotonin 5HT2 receptors as on a1-adrengic receptors.
Indications: schizophrenia. Due to cardiovascular safety concerns, sertindole should only be used for patients intolerant to at least one other antipsychotic agent. Sertindole should not be used in emergency situations for urgent relief of symptoms in acutely disturbed patients
