Professor Chih-Hung Lee has conducted clinical trials for more than 10 years. He is the leading PI for many trials, ranging from phase I to phase 4, for the indications of skin immunological diseases, including atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, prurigo nodularis, pustular psoriasis, vitiligo, alopecia areata, chronic urticaria, bullous pemphigoid, pemphigus vulgaris, frown line, and so on. The investigational products tested in the trials includes drugs of various routes, from topical, subcutaneous injection, intramuscular injection, intravenous injection, intravenous infusion, and oral routes.

Two recent publications about the results of the clinical trials include (1) Two Phase 3 Trials of Lebrikizumab for Moderate-to-Severe Atopic Dermatitis. N Engl J Med. 2023 Mar 23;388(12):1080-1091; (2) IgE-neutralizing UB-221 mAb, distinct from omalizumab and ligelizumab, exhibits CD23-mediated IgE downregulation and relieves urticaria symptoms.
