Highlights

Neoadjuvant chemotherapy in bulky cervical cancer — Designed and conducted a randomized controlled trial of neoadjuvant cisplatin/vincristine/bleomycin followed by radical hysterectomy versus radiotherapy alone in bulky stage IB–IIA cervical cancer. J Clin Oncol 2000;18(8):1740-7.
HPV self-sampling program for cervical cancer screening — Designed and conduct a series of trials evaluating self-collected vaginal sampling as an alternative to physician-collected Pap smears/HPV testing, particularly for under-screened populations in Taiwan. Two peer-reviewed publications:
Yang CY, Chang TC, et al. "Evaluation of a novel vaginal cells self-sampling device for HPV testing in cervical cancer screening: reliability and acceptability." Bioeng Transl Med. 2024;9(4):e10653. (1,210 women, 3 Taiwan centers; 88% agreement with physician sampling, >90% satisfaction.)
Chou HH, Yang CY, et al., Chang TC, Lai CH. "Consistency in HPV type detection between self-collected vaginal and physician-sampled cervical specimens." J Med Virol. 2024.
KEYNOTE-A18 / ENGOT-cx11 / GOG-3047 — Phase 3 trial of pembrolizumab plus chemoradiotherapy vs. placebo plus chemoradiotherapy for newly diagnosed, high-risk, locally advanced cervical cancer. Site PI at Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, a confirmed Taiwan enrollment site. [enrollment period / patient numbers to confirm]
Z-100 trial — Site PI for the Z-100 immunomodulator trial in cervical cancer.

Investigator and co-investigator on FDG-PET in cervical cancer staging and surveillance, including two J Clin Oncol papers (2003, PMID 14512397; 2006, PMID 16382121) and a related HPV genotype/prognosis study (J Clin Oncol 2007, PMID 17704412).
